Wrinkled Records has released audio from their upcoming Mac Wiseman album, Songs From My Mother’s Hand. Due September 23, the record includes newly-recorded versions of old country and folk songs for which his mother took down the words by hand, and kept in a composition book which Mac has saved.
Here’s his version of Blue Ridge Mountain Blues, from the new album. Assisting on the track are Thomm Jutz and Jimmy Capps on guitar, Alisa Jones Wall on hammered dulcimer, Mark Fain on bass, and Justin Moses on harmony vocals.
