Grassy Creek to Gravy Records

Event Details

Grassy Creek

The Grassy Creek Bluegrass Band, a talented family group from Gatlinburg, TN, are the newest signees with Gravy Records, a subsidiary of Sound Biscuit Records in nearby Sevierville.

Made up of Brian Eversole on mandolin, with his two children, Julia on bass, and David on guitar, along with Ashton Murray on banjo, they deliver punchy, traditional bluegrass in a teen-centered outfit.

Producer Dave Maggard, who is the owner of the Sound Biscuit empire, speaks quite highly of this young bunch.

“I’m personally excited that Gravy Records has the opportunity to be part of Grassy Creek’s early beginning. The first time I heard them, I could immediately feel the energy and passion they bring to their music. When you combine their talent, drive and love for bluegrass, you can’t help but want to be part of the journey they’re on.

I’m looking forward to seeing where the road ahead takes them.”

They have begun to make a name for themselves through live shows around Gatlinburg, at events throughout Tennessee and neighboring states, and an active social media presence.

Here’s a taste of their sound from a recent live appearance on WDVXs’s Blue Plate Special.

Be on the lookout for new music soon from Grassy Creek and Gravy Records.
