Win a Darrell Webb Band FanJam

webb_bandSome of my favorite bluegrass memories involve chances to watch, or even jam with top bluegrass artists in the campgrounds when I was first learning to play in the 1970s. Before the days when air-conditioned buses were the norm for traveling bands, it was common to find the same pickers you saw on stage during the day out jamming with the “peeps” in the cool of an evening.

This season the Darrell Webb Band is offering folks the chance to host a jam session, with Darrell and the boys stopping by to pick with you and your friends. They are hoping to schedule one at each festival where they are appearing this summer, a promotion they call FanJam 2013.

To enter to win your own personal FanJam, just visit their site and check the schedule. If you see a fest where you’ll be attending and camping, go to the entry page and explain why your RV or campsite is the best bet for a FanJam. The only requirement is that you have electric power to accommodate a bass amp.

Darrell explains in this video…

Be warned… this is a fiery bunch of bluegrass pickers. You’ll want to practice up if they are coming to your site!
