Take Me Back, the upcoming release from Karl Shiflett and Big Country Show, won’t officially be available until July, but radio programmers can access it now at Airplay Direct. While you need a radio account to download the tracks, anyone can visit the site and listen to the songs.
Karl is also offering autographed, pre-release copies of the CD for sale now. Online ordering from his site is not yet enabled, but you can contact mandolinist C.J. Lewandowski by email for the ordering details.
The record is chock-full of old time bluegrass music, both classic songs and new compositions, including a trio of great instrumentals from Lewandowski, banjo picker Chris Hill and fiddler Billy Hurt. If you didn’t know better you might suspect they were recorded 50 years ago.
Take Me Back will arrive in stores and at digital download sites on July 17 from Pinecastle.
