Once a teacher…

Event Details

… always a teacher. At least that’s what they say.

Having been raised by parents who were teachers – and having done a fair bit of teaching myself – I know how close to the surface the pedagogic impulse lurks.

You can see the same thing in this video from former elementary school teacher Nora Jane Struthers, created to explain how she will be using the funds collected from her successful Kickstarter campaign to fund her next solo recording project. The video was shot last month just a few days before the campaign’s successful conclusion, and her use of a chart to explain how the monies will be spent betrays her teacher training.

Nora Jane raised $2300 above her $20,000 goal, so I guess a new album is on the horizon.
