Johnny and Jeanette back together

Among the many friends who stopped by the Bluegrass Today booth during last week’s World of Bluegrass and Fan Fest in Nashville were Johnny and Jeanette Williams. This husband-and-wife team have been picking and singing for many years, sometimes together and other times not.

Of late, they were working in different bands, Johnny with Big Country Bluegrass, and Jeanette fronting her own group. Johnny told us that he left Big Country recently to dedicate his energies to his own material, and that he and Jeanette are working together again.

They are booking shows now as Johnny & Jeanette Williams, and will also be doing some trio dates with Louisa Branscomb. The latter will have more of a singer/songwriter focus, while the band dates will feature their hot bluegrass outfit.

I have always enjoyed these two paired up, and look forward to seeing Johnny & Jeanette Williams performing together again.
