iTunes bluegrass landing page

Event Details

Regular iTunes users with a taste for bluegrass have noted the fact that Apple shows no special love for our music. Despite repeated requests from bluegrass labels, Apple has yet to create a “genre” listing for bluegrass, or a separate “store” in the iTunes Store for bluegrass.

They have, however, finally created a landing page for grassers – though it is really just a “special room” off the country page. It’s a start, I suppose.

The bluegrass labels are working with Apple to help promote this feature, and plan to create some special content to make sure that iTunes sees some sales from this page. If you are considering making a download purchase of some new bluegrass releases, please consider entering iTunes through this link, and let them know that ours is a viable commercial format.
