This information will include births and deaths; recording sessions; single, LP and CD release dates; and other interesting tidbits. Richard F.   • February 18, 1927 South Salyers was born.  *
  • February 18, 2003 CD released – Bill Monroe – Gotta Travel On: An Introduction (MCA MCLD 19403) **
  • February 18, 2003 Mitchell Land died due to heart problems and other complications in Dixon, Missouri, aged 66.

* South Salyers joined the Blue Grass Boys, playing guitar and singing the lead part for a brief time in June 1951.
