Flamekeeper Pickin’ in the Park

Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper performed yesterday (10/10) at the Pickin’ in the Park Festival Clear Brook, Virginia. Sharing the bill was Stoney Creek, who sent along some great photos of the day in the park.

The Stoney Creek folks perform primarily in the VA/WV/MD/PA region, and are currently featured as the Artist Of The Week at Bluegrass Music Profiles. Libby Files plays bass, Darrell Sanders is on banjo, Ed Barney on guitar, and Brett Smeltzer on mandolin.

As anyone would, they got some photos of themselves with Cleveland and his crew, along with some shots of Flamekeeper on stage.

Flamekeeper is still enjoying the afterglow of their multiple IBMA Awards. The band was honored as the Instrumental Group Of The Year – for the 4th time – and both Cleveland and Marshall Wilborn won as individual instrumentalists of the year in their respective categories (fiddle/bass).

For their part, Stoney Creek is actively promoting their latest CD, Hot Off The Press.
