This Saturday (12/15) is the firm deadline for submitting applications to perform at the 2013 European World of Bluegrass. Next year’s annual event will be held May 9-11 in Voorthuizen, Holland at Hotel ‘t Trefpunt.
EWOB is the premiere opportunity for bands to showcase before fans and promoters across Europe, along with radio programmers, agents and managers, and the Continental music press. US, Canadian and Japanese bands are also invited to apply for spots, but only European artists are eligible to compete in the band awards. Band members also have the opportunity to teach at workshops and sit on a variety of business panels during the festival/business conference.
The application process is quick and simple, and must be postmarked and/or emailed by December 15. The following is required:
- Completed application
- 4 songs as MP3 files
- Brief band bio
Full application details and selection criteria can be found online.
