EWOB 2011 in photos

Event Details

Once again, Jan de Mooy has sent along a terrific gallery of photos from the European World of Bluegrass, which took place in Voorthuizen, The Netherlands last week. Like its counterpart in the US, the International Bluegrass Music Association, EWOB is organized and managed by the European Bluegrass Music Association.

Jan informs us that since Country Gazette ceased publication a couple of years ago, his bluegrass column (Bluegrass Duinen) went to Strictly Country Magazine, which has sadly also shut down. His column now appears in the new magazine, Bluegrass Europe, where it is published in English.

de Mooy can be reached by email. Here are his photos, showing many of the bands that performed at EWOB this year.

The winner of the 2011 European Bluegrass Band contest at EWOB is Norway’s Lucky Lips, and the Audience Popularity Award is also headed to Norway with Ila Auto. Congratulations to them both!
