Deadline today for Leadership Bluegrass

IBMANovember 15 is the deadline to submit your application for a spot in the 2017 Leadership Bluegrass class in Nashville. The three-day program run by the International Bluegrass Music Association is designed to identify future leaders in bluegrass music, and both begin training them as such and help them to get to know one another in our industry.

The program is not specifically for artists and musicians, though several are generally chosen for each class. Class members are selected each year in a competitive process from all aspects of the bluegrass business world, including media, management, event promotion, songwriting, record labels, merchandising, associations, and any other imaginable venue.

If you work in bluegrass and want to learn more about the industry, Leadership Bluegrass may be for you.

Next year’s events run March 20-22 in Nashville. There is a $300 fee to attend if you are selected, and you will be responsible for your own food and accommodations during the program. There is a partial scholarship available for anyone for whom this would be a problem.

Even though today is the deadline, the application can be completed quickly online. More information about the program can be found on the IBMA web site.
