Big Sciota from Jaywalkers

JaywalkersJaywalkers is an interesting and eclectic English string band from southeast of Liverpool who have developed quite a reputation among fans of modern acoustic music in the UK. They have a pair of albums, Early For A Thursday and 16 Miles, to their credit over the past four years

The trio of Mike Giverin, Jay Bradberry and Lucy Williams have just released a video of the fine old time tune, Big Sciota, a previously unreleased track from the band. Not only do these Brits play the tune with flair, they even include lyrics.

Mike tells us that they first heard the words sung by a friend of theirs (Oliver Craven with the Stray Birds). They then went and found similar ones online, and slightly altered them to fit their way of singing and playing.

We look forward to hearing more from this talented bunch.
