Willard Gayheart prints to benefit Song Of The Mountains

Willard Gayheart print for Song Of The MountainsNoted Appalachian pencil artist Willard Gayheart has created a special piece to benefit the popular bluegrass television program, Song Of The Mountains.

The piece was officially unveiled on June 30 at the Appalachian Spirit Gallery in Marion, VA. 450 limited edition prints will be offered for sale, each signed and numbered by the artist. Another 50 signed and numbered artist proofs are also available.

The drawing depicts the Lincoln Theatre where the show is taped in Marion, along with characterizations of a dozen or more artists who have appeared previously on the program.

Host Tim White tells us that more than 1000 artists have performed on Song Of The Mountains since its debut in 2005. The show is syndicated nationally to PBS affiliates all across the US.
