Congratulations to Chris Thile and Claire Coffee on the birth of their first child, Calvin Eugene. He was born about a week ago in Portland, OR where the newlyweds make their home.
Claire plays the role of Adalind Schade on the popular NBC television drama, Grimm, which shoots in Portland. Chris heads the avant-garde string band, Punch Brothers, who resume touring again in earnest in late June.
The couple have kept details about their son to a minimum, but assure both music and TV fans that everyone is well and happy.
Little Cal seems certain to grow up among the arts, though his Dad might be planning a career for him in major league baseball.
