Wayne Taylor coming back to Blue Highway

Original Traditional - Blue HighwayBlue Highway has announced that they will be back to full strength starting August 13 when Wayne Taylor returns from the disabled list to his position playing bass and singing with the group.

Wayne has been sidelined since May when chest pains sent him to the hospital, resulting in successful quadruple bypass surgery a few days later. With a few months to rest up, Taylor is finally ready to hit the road again, and will be with Blue Highway for their performance on the Mountain Stage radio program in Elkins, WV on the 13th.

In other Blue Highway news…

Rounder Records has announced September 9 as the release date for the next band album, Original Traditional. As the title suggests, it’s a set of 12 new songs, all of which have a decidedly traditional bent. And it’s the first with their hot young reso-guitar man, Gaven Largent.

We’ll certainly be looking forward to that!
