Mountain Fever Records has announced October 15 as the release date for the long-awaited third album from Ohio’s Jett’s Creek. This project has been more than two years in production, under the steady hand of Clay Hess, and carries the unsurprising title, The Wait Is Over.
Jett’s Creek is built around the singing of Angie Young and her dad, Jon McIntosh, who plays rhythm guitar in the group. The two also wrote one of the songs on the record, Back Home Again.
Providing support are Jeff Byrd on bass, Tim Hale on banjo, Chuck Little on mandolin, and Nathan Bray on lead guitar.
Songs on The Wait Is Over include new compositions from Mark Brinkman and Dale Pyatt, and covers from Merle Haggard, Larry Cordle, and Darryl Worley.
Digital sales will launch in the next week or so, and radio programmers can download tracks for broadcast now from Airplay Direct.
