This Is Cabinet – Set II

Event Details

This Is Cabinet - Set IICabinet is a young bluegrass/Americana band from northeastern Pennsylvania who have made their bones with a high-energy, high-volume live show. They perform amplified, with a drummer, and have attracted an eager following for their style of original folk/bluegrass/country music.

Their fifth album, This Is Cabinet – Set II, is due December 10 on Ropeadope Records. It was recorded live on tour during March of this year, containing six band originals and a cover of Mr. Spaceman from The Byrds.

The band consists of JP Biondo on mandolin, Mickey Coviello on guitar, Pappy Biondo on banjo, Dylan Skursky on bass, Todd Kopec on fiddle, and Jami Novak on drums. They have been performing together since 2006 and have a large fan base in and around Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, drawing young folks who may not follow bluegrass closely to their shows.

For a taste of their sound, here’s a song from their 2011 live DVD, ELEVEN (Live at Abbey Bar). It’s not included on the upcoming CD, but provided here as an example.

Pre-orders for This Is Cabinet – Set II are enabled now on the band web site.
