Bob Mitchell will feature The Sons Of Bluegrass, a group consisting of students studying for the Bluegrass, Old Time & Country Music degree at East Tennessee State University, on his Best Of Bluegrass show this weekend.
The show will air Friday morning (1/25) from 10:00 a.m. to noon (EST) on Radio Bluegrass International, a free online radio service of the International Bluegrass Music Museum. It will rebroadcast again on Sunday (1/27) at 1:00 p.m. and in the wee hours of the 28th at 1:00 a.m. (both times eastern).
Sons Of Bluegrass consists of Chris Armstrong on bass, Cameron Owens on mandolin, Meade Richter on fiddle, Mike Gunter on guitar, and Dan Troyer on banjo. They spent part of their Christmas break last month in Louisville, KY and stopped by the studio to record a live set for Best Of Bluegrass on December 29. Songs included cuts from their debut album and some bluegrass favorites.
Tune in online Friday or Sunday, or on Saturday (1/26) from 8:00-10:00 a.m. (EDT) on WKWC, the radio station of Kentucky Wesleyan College.
