Teri Chism to Circa Blue

teri_chismWest Virginia’s Circa Blue has announced that Teri Chism has joined the band on bass.

She has been a fixture in the DC-area bluegrass scene for many years, working with Patent Pending and Cliff Waldron & the New Shades of Grass. Upon Cliff’s retirement, Teri teamed up with Bill Emerson and has worked recently with Bill in Sweet Dixie.

As she did with these other groups, Chism will share lead and harmony vocal duties with the other members of Circa Blue.

Band leader Steve Harris says that he is delighted to have her in the group, and is enjoying the new sounds coming from their two new female members.

Circa Blue“Teri brings a wealth of experience and skill, and is a perfect fit. With the recent addition of fiddle player/vocalist Malia Furtado and Teri, it has added a whole new dimension to Circa Blue.”

Chism joins Harris on guitar, Ron Webb on mandolin, Matt Hickman on banjo, and Furtado on fiddle.
