Take Me Home Country Roads, new WV state song

Special ConsensusA resolution to make John Denver’s Take Me Home Country Roads an official state song comes before the West Virginia legislature today. It is already the official song of West Virginia University, and today’s resolution is expected to pass.

To celebrate, Compass Records and Special Consensus are making their new version of the song available for online streaming. The song is included on their upcoming release, Country Boy – A Bluegrass Tribute To John Denver from Special Consensus & Friends.

Friends on this track are John Cowan on second vocal and Jason Carter on fiddle.

Country Boy is scheduled for a March 25 release. Pre-orders are being accepted now.
