Steve Martin at the American Banjo Museum

Event Details

American Banjo MuseumThe American Banjo Museum in Oklahoma City has released a video interview with Steve Martin, in conjunction with their new exhibit, The Banjo World of Steve Martin. The exhibit contains personal memorabilia and rare photos Steve has shared with them.

Both 4 and 5 string banjo are celebrated in the museum, and players of both in every imaginable style are included in their Hall of Fame, which now also includes Steve Martin.

Also included in the Martin exhibit is this recent interview with Johnny Baier, Executive Director of the American Banjo Museum. Steve talks in detail about his banjo fascination, incorporating a number of themes he had presented in his address accepting his Distinguished Achievement Award from the IBMA in 2015.

The museum is open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Tue-Sat) and noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. They depend on donations from banjo lovers as well as admission to support their work.
