Sneak preview from the Steeps

Event Details

The Steep Canyon Rangers have released a sneak peek video from their upcoming Rounder album, Tell The Ones I Love. It gives a look of the guys at work in Levon Helm’s Studio in February, along with a listen to the title track.

Steeps banjo player Graham Sharp tells us that recording there was a very special time.

Graham Sharp poses by Ziggy Marley's bus“I don’t think there could ever be a better place to make a record, and I think this video shows what a fine setting it is. Pretty much the whole barn, the rafters, the nooks, everything was miked to try to capture the live sound in there.

On the drums is Jeff Sipe, a name some will recognize, and a fellow western North Carolinian.”

Tell The Ones I Love is scheduled for release on September 10.
