Lou Reid & Carolina have announced that their guitar position has ben filled by Skip Cherryholmes.
Kevin Richardson had been filling in on guitar since the departure of Shannon Slaughter last year, but as Kevin’s own band is gathering steam, it was time for a new Carolinian.
In a statement on their web site, the band welcomed Cherryholmes into the fold.
“We have been friends and fans of his family’s music for years. We look forward to bringing Lou’s music to a venue near you soon…. with Skip on guitar!
His lead, baritone, and bass vocals are outstanding…. he adds so much to the group. Welcome Skip!!!”
Skip joins Lou and Christy Reid on mandolin and bass respectively, and Trevor Watson on banjo.
