New single coming from KRACE

kraceKevin Richardson and Cuttin’ Edge – KRACE to their close friends and associates – is preparing the release of their second album, Son of a Simple Man. Their debut, self-titled project in 2012 created a sensation on our Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart, with two tracks making it to the #1 spot.

The band is centered around Richardson’s powerful singing, songwriting and guitar playing, supported by Scott Burgess on bass, Milom Williams II on mandolin, and Chris Ward on banjo. Burgess and Williams both provide vocal harmony as well.

As with their first record, the new one will rely heavily on Kevin’s original material. A first single for the title track is due June 10. It celebrates the benefits of the simple life, in the voice of a man raised by a hard-working farmer who taught his children the value of honest work.

Richardson says he based the lyrics on his own life, and the example of his beloved grandfather.

Son Of A Simple Man, the single, will be available to radio programmers through Airplay Direct on June 10. Look for the full album later this summer.
