New Radio Ramblers single May 6

last_paradeHere’s another new single with a patriotic theme, this time from Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers.

Last Parade is a new song by Steve Bonafel written in honor of Sgt. Nickolas Carnes of Dayton, KY who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2007. The parade in question, of course, is his funeral procession through town.

All proceeds from the single will be donated to Patriot Guard Riders, a volunteer organization that provides an honor guard at no charge for fallen military members’ funerals.

Here’s a sample…

The song will be included on the Radio Ramblers next Rebel album, Another Day From Life, expected this Summer, but Joe wanted to get it out before Memorial Day.

Last Parade won’t be officially released to radio until next Tuesday (5/6), but Joe and the guys will perform it tonight during their set tonight on the Grand Ole Opry. It can be downloaded now from iTunes.
