More Cumberland River coming on Justified?

At this past weekend’s Pickin’ In The Panhandle festival in West Virginia, we had a chance to speak with James Dean, banjo picker and vocalist with Cumberland River.

The band has received a major leg up in their burgeoning career from the Justified television series, which airs on the FX television network. The show is set in Harlan, KY, which happens to be the home of the members of Cumberland River.

James describes how they first connected with the producers of the show, and how that has led to a number of their songs appearing the soundtrack – and may even find them on screen as characters in the 2013 season.

You can keep up with Cumberland River online.
