Michael Cleveland, Master Barber

Back in March of 2013, Nathan Livers, mandolinist with Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, made a pledge to get his long locks cut as soon as the band’s Facebook page reached 5,000 likes. He further promised to donate his hair to Locks of Love, and to let his blind band leader make the first cut!

And so it has come to pass. The Facebook page is now up to more than 5200 likes, and Nathan has submitted to his shearing. He and his wife, Steffani, traveled to Middletown, KY over the weekend for a visit to Warren’s On Route 60 barbershop. There they were met by Michael and his dad, and fellow Flamekeeper Josh Richards.

The whole thing was captured on video for posterity.

As a part of the band’s Locks For Likes campaign, one Facebook friend was promised a prize package drawn at random. Two free tickets to a Flamekeeper show goes to Terry Williams of Lantana, TX, who will also be invited to a meet and greet and to jam with the guys.

Sounds like everybody wins!
