Mark O’Connor Fiddle Camp to NYC

Mark O'ConnorThe 2009 Mark O’Connor String Camp will be held in New York City, the first time the roving clinic has touched down in the Big Apple.

The camp will run from July 27th – 31st, 2009 in multiple locations within a single block, just a short walk from Lincoln Center. Twenty renowned instructors in a variety of styles and genres will be on the faculty, offering workshops and concerts for approximately 175 students.

All ages are welcome at the camp, but it is designed for serious, experienced players and professional musicians. No beginning instruction is offered.  They will receive intensive training in fiddle styles encompassing jazz, celtic, bluegrass, world music, classical,
American classical, Texas fiddling and hip-hop.

The camp is open to the entire family of viol instruments, and registration is first come, first served. The roster of instructors includes:
