Lorraine Jordan to appear on Joey Canyon Show

Lorraine Jordan and Eddy Raven on The Joey Canyon ShowThis week’s guests on The Joey Canyon Show on RFD-TV will be Lorraine Jordan and Eddy Raven, along with Garrett Newton.

They’ll sing their bluegrass version of Eddy’s big hit, I’ve Got Mexico, which Raven sang on Jordan’s current CD, Country Grass, and have a chat with Canyon about how the world’s been treating them. They will be joined by teen banjo sensation, Garrett Newton.

Country Grass is a celebration of the shared roots between bluegrass and country music. Lorraine invited a number of top country artists into the studio to perform grassed up versions of their biggest hits. Other guests include John Conlee, Crystal Gayle, John Anderson, T.G. Shepard, Jim Ed Brown, Lynn Anderson, and several others.

Canyon’s show is in its second year on RFD, using the popular talk-show format. Joey serves as host, introduces and talks with his musical guests who also perform on set. The half hour program, which airs at 10:00 eastern on Friday nights, is produced in Colorado and tries to maintain a western, Rocky Mountains feel.

Here’s the promo video they created for this episode.

Lorraine tells us she’s excited to have another opportunity to present bluegrass to country music fans on television, and to showcase Garrett, who she’s taken under her wing.

Look for them on RFD-TV at 10:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, August 19.
