Larry Stephenson in the studio

larry_sThe Larry Stephenson Band is back in the studio, working on a new Gospel CD. This will be Larry’s 5th album of all spiritual music.

Larry is recording at the Rec Room Studio in Nashville, with Ben Surratt engineering. His regular road band is in there with him: Kenny Ingram on banjo, Danny Stewart on bass, and Colby Laney on guitar. A guest fiddle player will track with them as well.

No release date is being projected, but the album will come out on Stephenson’s Whysper Dream Music label.

He also mentioned that 2014 is his 25th year leading the Larry Stephenson Band.

“We had our first rehearsal on Feb. 10. 1989 and worked our first date in March 1989 in Columbus, Ohio for Darrell Adkins.”

That’s a pretty good run in anybody’s book.
