Justin Moses – new CD and podcast

Byon Measure - Justin MosesJustin Moses has been one of the more active bluegrass musicians working in our music this past decade, but rarely in a showy or bombastic fashion.

Possessed of near-virtuosic skills on all the common bluegrass instruments, Moses has served as banjoist with Blue Moon Rising, fiddle and dobro player with the Dan Tyminski Band, and banjo picker with Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder. These days he plays whatever instrument is needed performing with Sierra Hull in her revamped stage show.

He’s also appeared on dozens of recorded projects for other artists and worked as a first-call sub for touring bands.

But this Fall, Justin has launched two new endeavors that will put his name out front. First up is his new podcast, CosMoses, where he interviews bluegrass and acoustic music newsmakers, and ponders and discusses issues of concern to people who care about quality music. Two episodes are currently available with new ones promised every two weeks. Subscriptions are free, or you can select episodes for listening from iTunes, Stitcher, or Soundcloud.

Then on September 18, Justin will release Beyond Measure, a six-track EP of original bluegrass instrumentals, with him featured as the sole performer on multiple instruments. A solo album in the truest sense of the word.

One track, Streets Of Savannah, can be streamed from his web site now, and Justin has created a video preview to introduce this new project to the bluegrass world.

Pre-orders for autographed copies of the Beyond Measure CD are enabled now on Justin’s web site. Download purchases will also be available at some point after September 18.
