Jean Cornett passes

Jean CornettJean Cornett, who founded the Festival of the Bluegrass near Lexington, KY with her husband Bob in 1974, has passed away. She was 86 years old.

She and Bob retired several years ago, but the festival remains in the family, managed now by their grandson, Roy, and his wife AnnaMarie.

Jean died earlier this morning.

Arrangements will be handled by Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown, KY, and are expected to be announced on Saturday (2/7).
