I Wonder Where You Are Tonight from The McCourys

Event Details

Del McCoury family

Del, Ronnie, and Rob McCoury set up shop at Carter’s Vintage Guitars in Nashville recently to shoot a performance video of the bluegrass classic, I Wonder Where You Are Tonight, to help spread the word about next month’s big shindig in Phoenix, AZ, the Del McCoury Pickin’ Party.

Officially titled The McCoury & Douglas Family Pickin’ Party, this hybrid event is set to run January 2-5 at the Wigwam Resort, a 440-acre complex that boasts of fine dining, lush gardens, golf courses, spas, and pools. Part workshop and part superfan experience, it looks like a perfect spot to escape the cold weather blues just after the new year, partying, dancing, eating, and drinking alongside your favorite bluegrass entertainers.

Pickers can come and study with folks like Bryan Sutton, Sierra Hull, Rob Ickes, and Kristin Scott Benson, along with all the McCourys and Jerry Douglas. If you’re more fan than player, you can spend your days enjoying the luxurious accommodations and amenities, and take advantage of afternoon panel discussions with Del McCoury, David Grisman, and Marty Stuart, autograph signing sessions with all these top stars, and evening concerts by Marty Stuart, Molly Tuttle, The Travelin’ McCourys, David Grisman, and Sierra Hull & Justin Moses.

After the concerts, they will be bluegrass karaoke into the late night with a live band.

You can see all the details online, with a number of food and accommodation packages available.

And here’s Del and the boys with I Wonder Where You Are Tonight.
