Happy Birthday to us!

Bluegrass TodayWhile frantically preparing for IBMA week coming up in Raleigh, we would be remiss in failing to note that this week marked our 3rd anniversary operating as Bluegrass Today. We officially went live on September 23, 2011, just ahead of the World of Bluegrass convention that year in Nashville.

Thanks to all of our loyal readers, we have seen solid, positive trend lines since that launch, when we switched from our original domain of thebluegrassblog.com, over to bluegrasstoday.com.

Since 2011 we’ve gone from just 28,000 unique visitors each month to almost 80,000 last month, and from monthly page views of 133,400 to 239,600. During this time we have published an average of 25-28 new articles each week, along with our weekly and monthly radio airplay charts.

We couldn’t be more pleased that our coverage of the bluegrass scene has met with such wide approval, and we humbly thank you all for your support.

Not that we are finished with Bluegrass Today! Even now, we are finishing work on a new site design and a new mobile display. If all goes well, you’ll see those before the end of the year.
