Good news from Buck Green

Event Details

buckJohn “Buckwheat” Green, who as we reported on Monday suffered a heart attack over the past weekend, went in for bypass surgery yesterday afternoon. Buck is the bass player with Jim & Valerie Gabehart, based in West Virginia. He is also an occasional correspondent for Bluegrass Today.

What was expected to have been a triple bypass turned into a quadruple, but Buck came through the procedure just fine and is resting comfortably in the hospital.

We just heard from him, with this terse but determined message:

“This morning setting up in a recliner. Still very sore but will mend.

I would like to thank everyone for the prayers and wishes. Will be writing and singing and playing again soon.”

Well done all. Get well soon, Buckwheat!
