FreshGrass festival in Massachusetts taking a break in 2026

Event Details

FreshGrass

The popular FreshGrass festival, held in North Adams, MA at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), has announced that they will not be hosting a festival in 2026. But they want to assure everyone that they will be back September 24-27, 2027.

This includes their annual FreshGrass Awards, a big part of the festival experience.

No reason has been given for this postponement, only that the FreshGrass team will be working diligently to ensure a terrific festival experience next year.

Their ongoing concerts at Studio 9 will continue, with all events listed online.

No word yet on the Steve Martin Banjo Prize, administered by the FreshGrass Foundation, which has not be awarded since 2024.
