Free downloads from Kathryn Caine

Virginia singer/songwriter Kathryn Caine is giving away two free tracks from her upcoming CD, When I Was His Wife, due for release on June 30.

The album was recorded with Andy Thacker on mandolin and guitar, Tom Hogge on banjo, Jay Starling on reso-guitar, Darrell Muller on bass, and James McLaughlin on percussion. Kathryn wrote and sings all eight songs on the album, and tells us that her goal has been to blend her background in traditional bluegrass with the more contemporary, country-inflected grass gaining popularity in today’s market.

Caine sent along the EP’s title track for us to share with readers of Bluegrass Today.

She has also enabled free downloads for the songs One Amen and Long Gone on her BandCamp site.
