Don Rigsby and Josh Williams aren’t the only ones with a J.D. Crowe Tribute Band taking shows for next year. The actual band from the Flashback album era, with the actual J.D. Crowe, will be doing a limited number of appearances in 2015.
That would be Crowe on banjo, Richard Bennett on guitar, Rigsby on mandolin, Phil Leadbetter on reso-guitar, and Curt Chapman on bass. They will perform the material from that album, and other songs that were part of the New South repertoire in the mid-1990s.
Their first show will be at The Clayton Center in Maryville, TN for Phil’s CD release concert.
Leadbetter is handling arrangements and anyone interested in having them in for a show should contact him for information.
