The 22nd annual Bear on the Square Mountain Festival will take place in Dahlonega, Ga., on Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22, 2018. Pre-festival events, including the beginning of jamming on the square and the Live and Silent Country Auction will occur on Friday, April 20, 2018, with two full days of activities on Saturday and Sunday.
Bear on the Square, held in and around Dahlonega’s Historic Public Square, is an authentic Appalachian Heritage Festival spotlighting bluegrass and old-time music, a juried Artists Market Place featuring traditional mountain crafts, storytelling, free music workshops and demonstrations, dancing, an old-time mountain dance, an open mic event, and more.
