Street parking is free on Saturdays.

Due to health concerns, the dates shown for this and all WM classes through April are considered “tentative” — hoped-for but subject to change.

All bluegrass instruments welcome
No jamming experience necessary
You will be jamming the first class!
Friendly, encouraging, knowledgeable teaching.
Mistakes allowed!
Singing not required, but encouraged and taught.
Easy 2- and 3-chord songs, slow speeds.
Soloing not required! “Faking” solos taught.

Do you qualify? It’s easier than you may think!
If you play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, or dobro… you can be part of a bluegrass jam.

Only requirements:
You must be able to tune your instrument (electronic tuning devices welcome) and change smoothly between G, C, D, and A. (Fiddles and basses need to know which notes work with which chords)

June Crosby and Jamis Johnson are both certified Wernick Method teachers. June Crosby has traveled the world sharing music with her fiddle, having toured Europe with her family Bluegrass band, and playing with the Silver Creek Bluegrass band at the winter Olympics. She has led kids jams for the Utah Old Time Fiddlers and school music programs and currently teaches private violin/fiddle lessons. Jamis Johnson plays guitar, banjo, stand-up bass, and some mandolin. Over the years in a variety of locations including New York City, Provo, and Bucharest, he has played in bluegrass bands, organized community jams, and offered group and individual lessons.
