Dustin Benson exits Special C

dustinDustin Benson, guitarist/vocalist with Special Consensus, has announced that he will be leaving the group after November 7. The Alabama native has spent the past four and a half years touring with Special C, during which time he visited Europe three times, and Australia once.

Dustin’s been playing bluegrass since he was a young boy, and was performing with his dad’s band by the time he was a teenager. He now lives in Nashville, and had worked with Valerie Smith, Alecia Nugent, Larry Stephenson, and Lorraine Jordan before coming on with Special C.

Long time band leader Greg Cahill said that he has someone in mind who he hopes will join the team, and anticipates being able to introduce him shortly.

More on that in the near future.
