Once again this year, Donna Ulisse is taking her Christmas album from 2012, All The Way To Bethlehem, on the road in December.
This project is unique among Christmas-themed recordings, in that instead of new versions of holiday favorites, it features new songs from Donna and several co-writers giving first-heron accounts of the original Christmas story. Christians will recognize all the stories from their Scripture study, starting with Gabriel’s announcing to Mary that she would bear a son, through to Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem and the visit of the Three Kings.
Christmas shows are scheduled throughout next month in Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana, and West Virginia. Some will offer a full program of Christmas music while others will also include secular and more general Gospel music that Ulisse has recorded.
