Daniel Grindstaff leaving Marty Raybon

We heard this morning from Daniel Grindstaff, banjo player with Marty Raybon.

“After four years as a full time member, I will be stepping down from my position with Marty Raybon & Full Circle. I have worked a lengthy notice to ensure a smooth transition for Marty and the rest of the guys in the band, whom I consider dear friends.

I am leaving to pursue a business opportunity where I currently live, and other musical prospects.

Marty has a strong line up in the band that I was very proud to be a part of, including his younger brother Tim, who is proving to be one of the premier tenor singers on the bluegrass circuit, and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Chris Davis.

I wish my friend Marty and all the guys the very best, just as they have done for me. I do intend to accept free lance road dates, studio work, and have intentions to stay active in the music scene with various upcoming projects. I look forward to many more years of doing my part to promote bluegrass music and my favorite instrument, the banjo.

Thank you for all the support and the good Lord for the blessings and talent.”

Let me join Marty and the guys in wishing Daniel the greatest success in all his future endeavors!
