Curly Seckler recovering from a mini-stroke

Event Details

Curly SecklerWe have learned that Curly Seckler, the legendary bluegrass singer and songwriter, suffered a mini-stroke on May 19. At 93, he is the sole surviving member of the Foggy Mountain Boys and has continued to perform sporadically to this point.

According to his agent…

“Seckler suffered some loss of his ability to speak, but fortunately did not experience any paralysis. He was transported to the hospital and underwent multiple tests, but was not admitted. He is working with a speech therapist and is making progress in his recovery.”

We’ll certainly report any updates on his condition, and hope to see him on the stage again soon.

Friends and fans can send along well wishes by email.
