Mountain Fever Records has released a first single from Voices, the upcoming project from Volume Five, due to hit in January 2015.
The song is Crazy Night, written by former member Jeff Partin, and marks quite a departure from common bluegrass story lines. No cabin song this, it opens with the singer chained to a bed, groggy and uncertain, and proceeds through a ghastly scenario where he feels needles going into his skin, and experiences great pain. Is this a close encounter with an alien race? Is he being interrogated by terrorists?
The song never tells us. Yes… it’s going to be a crazy night.
