Collins Miller to Darrell Webb

Collins MillerThe Darrell Webb Band has announced they newest member, Collins Miller, who has joined the group on banjo.

Collins is 18 years of age, hailing from Arab in northern Alabama. Arab has the honor of being the namesake of a classic bluegrass instrumental by another Alabama native son, Vernon Derrick, called Arab Bounce. He recorded it on Jimmy Martin’s Free Born Man LP in 1969.

Growing up in a musical family is what introduced him to bluegrass and banjo music. By 15 he had won the Alabama State Championship for Bluegrass Banjo, and was a member of the three time state championship Arab High School FFA string band back home.

Prior to joining up with Darrell, he had been working with Cannan’s Crossing for the past two years.

Miller is delighted with the opportunity to move to east Tennessee and work with Darrel and the guys.

“I am so excited to make this step in my music career. These guys are a blast to pick with and I’m proud to be furthering my dream as a bluegrass musician with the Darrell Webb Band!”
