Cindy Baucom, whose syndicated radio show Knee Deep In Bluegrass has been running for 13 years on the John Boy & Billy Network, is pleased to be taking the show to the television box. The half hour program will feature bluegrass music videos, along with commentary from Cindy and interviews with popular artists, starting this fall.
Also billed as Knee Deep In Bluegrass, will launch on Yadkin Valley Local Television, produced by North Valley Media for Yadtel, available through Surry Television, Alleghany TV and MYTV1. Roku users will be able to stream the show via Yadtel’s premium Y-TV Roku app. At launch, the coverage area will include the following regions of western and central North Carolina: Sparta, Elkin, Mt. Airy, Yadkinville, Mocksville, and Asheboro.
The producers are currently working to expand the show’s coverage options throughout the southeast, including other cable networks or through syndication to other local television channels. More information is expected this fall.
Artists and labels are urged to submit their videos to the show now to be considered for inclusion. Cindy can be contacted online for details about broadcast standards and video types.
Baucom is psyched to be presenting a new opportunity for the music to find its way to more people.
“I am so excited for bluegrass artists. This presents another outlet to share their music and give exposure in a way besides radio.”
Congratulations to Cindy for making the move to TV. Knee Deep in Bluegrass will continue unabated as a 2-hour weekly radio broadcast, syndicated on more than 50 stations across the US.
