Cherryholmes changes afoot

Event Details

Recently we have posted news about B.J. and Skip Cherryholmes joining forces as Cherryholmes Brothers, and then that B.J. would be filling in on fiddle with Daily & Vincent while their regular fiddle man, Jesse Stockman, was recovering from a wrist injury.

Today it has been announced that B.J. has accepted the position as full time fiddler with Dailey & Vincent, and that Skip would continue on with their group as the Skip Cherryholmes Quintet.

The Quintet will feature Skip on guitar and vocals, Gena Britt Tew on banjo and vocals with Jamie Harper on fiddle, Chris Harris on mandolin/vocals, and Travis Anderson on bass. They will debut at IBMA 2011 with a number of late night showcases scheduled, along with an appearance at Fan Fest.

The September 17 Cherryholmes Brothers performance at Madison Square Park in New York City will go on as scheduled. More Quintet dates should be announced soon.

Also, look for some big news from Cia Cherryholmes in the next week or so!
