Castlerock Turnpike video from Daniel Grindstaff

Event Details

Daniel Grindstaff & The Uptown Troubadours

Daniel Grindstaff and his Uptown Troubadours have released a music video for their Castlerock Turnpike cut on the band’s debut project with Bonfire Music Group.

It’s a banjo tune Grindstaff wrote, which he says carries a tribute to the late, great Jimmy Martin, whose nickname for Daniel inspired the title. He plays it impeccably, of course, demonstrating why he is thought of so highly in the bluegrass and banjo community.

Sterling support comes from the Troubadours, which include Kevin Richardson on guitar, Derek Deakins on fiddle, and Kent Blanton on bass. Guest mandolin is provided by Johnathan Dillon on the recording, and Troy Boone in the video.

Castlerock Turnpike is a fun tune that all banjo players and lovers will enjoy. Expect to hear this one at jams this summer.

Castlerock Turnpike is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
